We all know that actuarial exams are hard. The pass rates vary from 50% on the preliminary/lower level actuarial exams, to 30% on the higher level CAS exams. I have no experience with any other professional qualification exams, so I cannot answer your question very directly. I would say that the CAS exam system was the most challenging part of my career as an actuary. As I’ve stated elsewhere on Quora,
